Summer School Taxes
Summer property taxes will be mailed the first week of July. Payment (with original bills) must be received on or before 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2011.
POSTMARKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Summer Deferment
If you are a senior citizen (62 years of age), or a paraplegic, quadriplegic, eligible serviceperson, veteran or eligible widow, blind person, or a permanently disabled person, with a household income of $40,000 or less, you may file to have your summer taxes deferred until February 14, 2012. DEFERMENTS MUST BE FILED AT THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE BY 5:00 PM ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2011. Please remember this is not an exemption, only a deferment. EACH APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF THEIR 2010 MICHIGAN HOMESTEAD PROPERTY TAX CREDIT WITH THEIR APPLICATION IN ORDER TO QUALIFY.
Winter Taxes

After March 1, delinquent real property taxes are payable to the Berrien County Treasurer.
Delinquent personal property taxes and leasehold taxes are payable to Lincoln Charter Township.
Dog Licenses
Licenses are sold in the Township office from December 1 through February 28 ONLY. Proof of rabies vaccination is required, as is proof of neutering.

For your convenience we have a 24 hour drop box outside the office door. The closer it gets to the due date, I recommend using it to avoid penalties. The payment still needs to be in the drop box by 5:00 pm on the due date to avoid interest.
